I finally got to visit the beautiful Antelope Valley and meet the staff at AVUHSD. And what a pleasure it was! Pictured below is the Implementation Team, left to right is Mary Beth Cowart, Ron Slack and Brenda Yardeen. It’s strong leaders like them that make my job not only fun but successful!
The purpose of my visit wasn’t just pleasure though, we got a LOT done. The 3 day visit was for Core training where we go through every activity in detail. This is probably my favorite part of the implementation. I love seeing the enthusiasm and all of the ‘oohs’ and ‘ahs’. Of course there’s always issues to work through to match what they’re currently doing in Escape Classic and how they’ll now do it in Online 5. The users were asking great questions and I’m sure they’ll have many more before they go live.
Since their Go Live date is September 5th, we, or I should say they, have a lot of testing to do in the next 2 months. It’s always hard to fit these new demands into a day that is already full with the normal job duties but I think they’re up to the challenge.
Great Job AVUHSD!
